• Earlier on December 28, Rajeev Chandrasekhar hit out at Zoom CEO Eric Yuan, who shared a wrong India map on his Twitter handle.
Union Minister of State for Electronics and Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar pointed to a video tweeted by the official handle of WhatsApp on December 31 to correct the map of India with respect to Jammu and Kashmir.
He had also warned Zoom CEO Eric Yuan a few days ago regarding the same issue.
Taking to Twitter, the minister wrote, "Dear @WhatsApp - Request you to please correct the error in the map of India at the earliest. All platforms that do business in India and/or want to continue doing business in India should be using the correct maps."

Rajeev Chandrasekhar was referring to a video tweeted by the official handle of WhatsApp, which shows a wrong map of India.
Earlier on December 28, Rajeev Chandrasekhar hit out at Zoom CEO Eric Yuan, who had shared a wrong India map on his Twitter handle. He had tweeted, "You want to make sure you use the correct maps for the countries you want/want to do business in."
After this, Yuan removed the tweet from his official account. "I recently deleted a tweet that several of you pointed out issues with the map. Thanks for responding!!"
