Small-cap stocks trading X-split hit record highs for the third day in a row

Stock Split 2022: Small-cap companies with a market cap of around ₹500 crore hit record highs for the third consecutive day. In fact, the small-cap stock backed by veteran investor Ashish Kacholia has climbed to record highs in four of the last five trading sessions. In this week, this small-cap infra stock has touched record high in all sessions except Tuesday. Interestingly, the small-cap stock is trading pre-split today as the company's board of directors has fixed December 2, 2022 as the record date for stock subdivision in 1:2 ratio.

In its latest exchange communication with Indian exchanges, this small-cap company said, "Pursuant to Regulation 42 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, this is to inform that the company has scheduled Friday, December 02 To ascertain the eligibility of the eligible shareholders for the corporate action of dividing/sub-dividing 1 (one) Equity Share into 02 (two) Equity Shares of face value of Rs.10/- (Rupees Ten only), 2022, of face value 05/- (Rupees Five only) each as on the record date."

Lakhitha Infra share price today opened with an uptrend and hit a new life-time high of ₹273.35 on NSE after the stock sub-split in the ratio of 1:2. In fact, it is one of the multibagger IPOs that the Indian stock market has produced in recent years. The public issue of this small-cap company was launched in September 2020 at a price band of ₹116 to ₹120 per equity share. The lot size of the public issue was 125 Company Shares i.e. the amount paid by the allottees per lot was ₹ 15,000 ( ₹ 120 * 125). Therefore, if an allottee had remained invested in the scrip till date post allotment, his net shareholding after the stock split in the ratio of 1:2 would have become 187 as the company split its stock in the ratio 1:2 today.

₹15,000 to ₹50,000

Lakhitha Infra share price today after 1:2 stock split is ₹270.90. Since one's shareholding has gone up to 187 after the stock split. The absolute value of one's Rs 15,000 would have been Rs 50,658.30, an increase of almost 240 per cent in these two years.

In recent NSE bulk deals, Ashish Kacholia bought 3.97 lakh shares of the company at a price of ₹386 per share. He executed the deal on 30 November 2022 by investing around ₹15.32 crore in the company.
