David Cameron, Britain's former prime minister, has found a new teaching job at a university in Abu Dhabi where he will lecture on 'Politics and the Practice of Government in an Age of Disruption'.
The Financial Times reported that former UK prime minister David Cameron has a new teaching job at a university in Abu Dhabi, where he will lecture on "the practice of politics and government in an age of disintegration".
A three-week event at New York University Abu Dhabi in January will cover topics such as the war in Ukraine and the migration crisis in Europe, but it is unclear whether Brexit will be discussed, the report said. The FT said the university offers limited-time courses in a number of locations around the world.
Cameron was Prime Minister of the UK from 2010 to 2016 when he oversaw the referendum on Britain leaving the European Union. His campaign for the country to remain in the European Union failed by 48% to 52%, leading to his resignation.
The FT reported that since leaving, Cameron has been involved in a variety of initiatives. He signed up for the China-UK Investment Fund which aims to raise $1 billion. But cold relations between the two countries meant the idea never got off the ground, the report said. He also worked at supply-chain finance firm Greensilk Capital, which collapsed in 2021.
