Delhi Police issues traffic advisory for religious processions, escape routes

 



• As per the advisory, elaborate traffic arrangements have been made in the entire city.


The Delhi Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory in view of Shri Digambar Jain Historical Paudhi Dooj procession in the national capital today i.e. on 10th December.


As per the advisory, elaborate traffic arrangements have been made across the city. The Rath Yatra will start from Shri Digambar Jain New Temple (Dharam Pura, Chandni Chowk) at 9:30 am and end there at 5 pm.


The route of the procession is as follows: Shree Digambar Jain New Temple (Dharam Pura, Chandni Chowk) – Gali Gulian – Dariba Kalan – Fountain Chowk – Ghanata Ghar – Fatehpuri – Khari Baoli – Qutub Road – Sadar Bazar – Bada Toti Chowk – Shree Digambar Jain Temple (Mountain Endurance).


According to the advisory, "The procession will terminate at Shree Digambar Jain New Temple (Dharam Pura, Chandni Chowk) at 5 pm, moving opposite to the above route."


In a tweet, the Delhi Traffic Police wrote, “Elaborate traffic arrangements have been made across the city in view of Shri Digambar Jain Historical Paudhi Duj Procession. Please plan your travel accordingly."


The traffic police has advised the general public to avoid the above mentioned roads and stretches.


It has also directed the public to reach railway stations or airport well in time and use public transport. "Park only at designated spots and report unusual/suspicious objects or persons immediately," it said.
