Members of Badhda block committee of Charkhi Dadri district were found dead in Gurugram guest house on Monday. The cause of death is yet to be confirmed by the police
Police said on Tuesday that the body of a member of Badhda block committee of Charkhi Dadri district was found hanging in a guest house located in Sector 31 here.
He said that he has been identified as Ashok Kumar (40), the winning candidate of Ward No. 1 of Badhda Block Committee.
Police said the body was found in the toilet of the guest house on Monday night.
Sector 40 police station SHO Satish Kumar said the cause of death is yet to be ascertained and the matter is being probed. He said that no suicide note has been found.
The election of the chairman of Badhda block committee is to be held on Wednesday and some members of the committee are staying in the guest house.
"We have shifted the body to the mortuary. His family members have been informed," Kumar said.
