Byju's tops the list of largest companies funded by PE/VC investors

 



• Below is a list of the most valuable companies funded by private equity (PE) and venture capital (VC) investors.


Edtech major BYJU's, valued at ₹47,680 crore, has topped the list of most valuable companies attracting private equity (PE) and venture capital (VC) investments in India. Ola is at the second position and Paytm is at the third position.


Burgundy Pvt, which is the private banking business of Axis Bank, and Hurun India released the '2022 Burgundy Pvt Hurun India 500'. This is the second edition of the list, which ranks the 500 most valuable companies in India.


These companies are ranked according to their value as defined by market capitalization for listed companies and valuation for unlisted companies.

Anas Rahman Junaid, Managing Director and Chief Researcher, Hurun India, said, "With a net worth of US$ 2.7 trillion, which is equivalent to India's current GDP, they are the backbone of India's economy. These 500 companies together have sold US$820bn and employs 7.3 million workers, which is more than the working population of the UAE."
