New Delhi: Khan Academy India, a non-profit education organization, has appointed Swati Vasudevan as Country Director in India. She will oversee the India operations and will be responsible for driving the growth of Khan Academy in India.

Vasudevan has over 25 years of leadership experience in both the non-profit and for-profit sectors. He has served as the COO at the Gates Foundation India Country Office and co-founded and manages the Indian School of Public Policy, a graduate-level educational institution, as their founding CEO. He has also mentored and mentored startups in the edtech and health-tech verticals.

Engineer from IIT Delhi and MBA from Chicago Booth Vasudevan started his career as Field Engineer, worked with Schlumberger on Oil Rigs and worked in many countries in Far East, South East Asia and worked for 10 years in USA . She has worked for McKinsey, Schneider Electric and Sleep Number.

Khan Academy started its operations in 2017 with around 6,000 monthly users and now caters to over 10,00,000 monthly users in 2022. In addition to increasing access, Khan Academy is committed to making learning content accessible in more regional languages ​​in India so that every student can learn in their preferred language. Khan Academy partnered with the state governments of Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Maharashtra to make quality education accessible to public schools.
