Bank of Baroda (BOB) has launched "Video Life Certificate" (VLC) service for pensioners. It will allow pensioners to submit their life certificates through a simple video call from the comfort of their homes. "Now full focus on pension. Submit your life certificate easily at home through video call," informed BoB via a tweet.


To continue receiving the pension, every government pensioner has to submit an annual life certificate in November.




Bank of Baroda Pensioners Can Submit Video Based Life Certificate: A Step-by-Step Guide


The pensioner is required to follow the steps given below to submit the life certificate through video call:


1) Login to Pension Sarathi Portal and click on Video Based Life Certificate tab or visit Bankofbaroda.com


2) Enter the PPO number and account number registered with the pension paying branch


3) Enter the One-time Password (OTP) received on your registered mobile number along with BOB and Aadhaar and click on "Submit".


4) Pensioner has to select the details given below


Whether redeployed - yes / no


Whether remarried - yes / no


Income less than 9000+DA - Yes / No


Disabled - Yes / No


5) After submitting the details the pensioner has to select an option to schedule the call now or as per convenience (later).


6) Keep your original photo ID card ready before initiating the call and the pensioner has to give permission to initiate the video call.


7) Once permission is granted, it will be forwarded to the BOB agent as soon as it is available.


8) Show the photo ID card so that the bank officials can hold it and the questionnaire will be shown on the screen of the pensioner to enter the details.


9) After successful capture of the images, the OTP received on the Aadhaar registered mobile number will be shared by the pensioner with the bank officer.


10) After successful capture of the process the Jeevan Pramaan Patra will be updated in the Pension Software and if it is rejected it will be informed through SMS and Email.


Last year, State Bank of India (SBI) launched India's first "Video Life Certificate" (VLC) service to allow pensioners to submit their life certificates through a simple video call from the comfort of their homes. .
