3.4 magnitude earthquake in Meghalaya

 

An earthquake measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale hit Meghalaya's Tura on Thursday.

The tremor was felt under the earth's surface at around 3:46 am 37 km east-northeast of Tura, Meghalaya.

An earthquake measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale hit Tura in Meghalaya in the early hours of Thursday, the National Center for Seismology (NCS) said.

According to NCS, the tremor was felt under the earth's surface around 3:46 am 37 km east-northeast of Tura and the depth was 5 km below the ground.

“An earthquake of magnitude 3.4 occurred 37 km east-northeast of Tura in Meghalaya at about 03:46 am today. The depth of the earthquake was 5 km below the ground: National Center for Seismology", tweeted the National Center for Seismology.
