Noida is all set to get its first data center as Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate Knowledge Park 5 in Greater Noida on Monday.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate the state-of-the-art data center built by Hiranandani Group during his two-day visit to Noida. He will reach Noida on Sunday at 4.30 pm.
Noida's first data center will also be inaugurated in the presence of Union Minister of Railways, Communications, Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnav and Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology Rajiv Chandrashekhar.
The construction of the data center was started in early 2021 by Yotta, a Mumbai-based subsidiary of the Hiranandani Group. According to government officials, this will be the first data center park in Noida. It will have six interconnected buildings and will offer a capacity of 30,000 racks that can be powered by over 250 MW of electricity.
Noida's first data center is spread over an area of 3 lakh square feet and has been built at a cost of ₹5,000 crore. Apart from inaugurating the data centre, the UP CM will also inaugurate the Ganga Jal Project. The next day he will attend the program of India Water Week on 1 November. India Water Week will be inaugurated by President Draupadi Murmu and will be welcomed by UP CM Yogi on the occasion.
Significantly, the Ganga Jal Project has missed several deadlines over the years. The families of the Greater Noida Authority were scheduled to receive water under the project in January 2021. The project was scheduled for completion by 2005. The budget of this project is ₹8000 crore and it will ensure 85 cusecs of Ganga water supply to Greater Noida. household.
