Two laborers of UP killed in grenade attack in Jammu and Kashmir

Two migrant laborers were killed after terrorists threw a grenade at them in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district in the early hours of Tuesday, October 18, 2022, police said.

The attack comes within three days of the shooting of a Kashmiri Pandit, a farmer by profession, in South Kashmir's Shopian on Saturday.

"Hybrid terrorists" are unlisted radicalized people who carry out terrorist attacks and often return to their regular lives without leaving a trace.

Terrorists hurled a grenade in Harman area of ​​Shopian, in which two laborers Manish Kumar and Ram Sagar, residents of Kannauj in Uttar Pradesh were injured. The Kashmir Zone Police said in a tweet that he was taken to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

It said the area has been cordoned off and a search has been launched to nab the attackers.

During the operation, a hybrid Lashkar terrorist who threw the grenade was arrested, Additional Director General of Police, Kashmir, Vijay Kumar said in a Twitter post.

He said the arrested terrorist has been identified as Imran Bashir Ghani of Harman.

The ADGP said that further investigation and raids are on.
