Lufthansa flight in Frankfurt, Germany

• The flight that took off for Bengaluru on 18 October was diverted to Turkey due to a medical emergency.

• The flight has been at Istanbul Airport since passengers are still waiting to get home.

Due to a medical emergency on board, Lufthansa flight LH 754 from Frankfurt to Bengaluru was diverted towards Istanbul. More than 24 hours have passed since the October 18 flight with passengers at Istanbul Airport.

Frankfurt to Bangalore Lufthansa flight LH754/18 had to divert to Istanbul due to a medical emergency on board on 18 October. For safety reasons, the oxygen cylinders used to treat medical emergencies had to be replaced before the flight could continue. /ragvi

They were to reach their destination on the morning of 20 October. The airline has since announced that the flight is now scheduled to depart on October 20 at 10:30 pm (India time). This means that Lufthansa passengers will be stuck at the airport for two days.

Unfortunately, it takes longer than originally expected. The continuation of the flight from Istanbul to Bangalore is now scheduled at 8 pm local time tonight. Lufthansa deeply regrets the circumstances and is doing everything possible to minimize inconvenience to its passengers. 1/2 uzm

With over 300 Indian nationals stranded at Istanbul airport, the airline has been accused of "not bothering to respond to anyone". One user wrote, "At the boarding gate. It says boarding currently .. and no soul here .. hahaha .. what a mess things are. This is the kind of carelessness and complacency that causes aviation disasters (sic)." causes."

Another user wrote, "It takes over 24 hours to get off an unscheduled stop. Horrible and inefficient handling of the situation (sic)."

27 hours - still stuck in Istanbul airport. @lufthansa  The airline is clearly facing an existential crisis. Called casteist, complacent, incompetent, apathetic, wicked, while the 380 passengers - mainly Indians, are considered homeless. No hotel, no lounge, no luggage facilities.

The flight has reportedly been rescheduled several times. Even though Lufthansa has now set the scheduled departure time at 8 pm (Istanbul time), many people are still unaware of its authenticity. One user wrote, 'Please stop lying to us like yesterday.

It's a sad situation when the official handle of @lufthansa doesn't even know the revised time! Your message was posted at 11 pm local time, and you are saying it is scheduled for 8 pm! By the time you posted this, it was already posted (for the fourth time) at 4:15am (sic)," another Twitter user wrote.
