Who is the richest? Former Grandmaster Kasparov Has Change in Elon Musk's Counting in Russia-Ukraine Row

Elon Musk questioned Putin's staunch critic Garry Kasparov "what have you done besides tweeting" later calling him 'moral stupidity'.

Elon Musk's tweets have re-polarized Twitter after Russia recently decided to conduct a survey on the micro-blogging site on the annexation of four Ukrainian territories. In the process, the billionaire faced Russian chess grandmaster Garry Kasparov, also known as a staunch critic of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Musk confronts Kasparov after a survey by Tesla CEO on 'Ukraine-Russia peace', an idea that was labeled as 'moral stupidity' by the grandmaster. Musk's poll was seeking votes on the re-election of territories under UN surveillance, water supplies to Crimea and assurances of Ukraine's neutrality. Musk even said that Crimea (which was annexed by Putin in 2014) had been part of Russia since 1783.

It is moral folly, a repetition of Kremlin propaganda, a betrayal of Ukrainian courage and sacrifice, and the current horrifying reality of Putin's bloody war that takes a few minutes to browse Crimea on Wikipedia, Kasparov responded. 'Who are you to reward Putin's years of war crimes with Ukrainian blood and land' to declare that bad crimes must be undone' It is not too late to remove it and say that you were high. Please do', read his second tweet.

In response to Kasparov's critical comments, Musk reminded him of the damage his aerospace company SpaceX caused while helping Ukraine with Starlink. 'We gave Ukraine Starlinks and in doing so caused $80M+ in damage, while putting SpaceX and ourselves at serious risk of Russian cyberattacks. What did you do apart from tweeting?" he asked.

Responding to Musk's question, many netizens came to Kasparov's defense, reminiscing the time when the chess grandmaster was jailed for speaking out against Putin. When the Russian president launched a crackdown on major political opponents, Kasparov fled the country in 2013 and currently lives in New York. He was first jailed for five days in 2007 for criticizing Putin and was beaten up by police during a protest in 2012, The Guardian reports.

Even in his latest tweets, Kasparov believes that Putin's defeat in the war against Ukraine is the only way to achieve 'real peace'. As for the threat of nuclear war, which, although unlikely, could be a possible outcome of war, according to Musk, Kasparov says that "the greatest nuclear threat comes from concessions to Putin, not from him." by standing".
