Jagran Correspondent, Patna. Bihar Weather Update: The south-west monsoon bringing the rainy season has started indicating its return from the country. According to meteorologists, the southwest monsoon will start returning from Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana in the next two days. Whereas, light and moderate rain is expected to continue in Bihar for the next two days.
Monsoon to return soon from Punjab, Rajasthan and Haryana
Patna Meteorological Center scientists Sanjay Kumar and Ajit Kumar say that the southwest monsoon has indicated a return from the northern and western parts of the country. The withdrawal of monsoon will start mainly from Punjab, Rajasthan and Haryana. Monsoon in Bihar can last till the end of September.
More rain is expected in the border and eastern districts
Meteorologists say that due to the formation of cyclone in eastern Uttar Pradesh, there may be rain in the border districts of Bihar. On the other hand, light rain may occur in Central Bihar. Light to moderate rainfall is possible over East Bihar. Harnaut 30.4, Muzaffarpur 8.6, Jhajha 5.4, Bagaha 5 mm rainfall was recorded.
The highest rainfall in the state was recorded at 37.7 mm. Presently, the Monsoon Trough is passing through Bathinda, Delhi, Banaras, Ranchi, Balasore till Bay of Bengal. Meteorologists say that monsoon rains will continue in Bihar till September 30.
