CAIT to advance offer of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' souvenirs

BENGALURU: After supporting the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' programme, the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) in association with Govt. for Craftsmen, Potters, Start- UPS, and Small Industries.

These products may include pen stands, pens, card holders, mobile covers, tie-pins, hand-rocks, mobile chargers, tea and coffee mugs, contemporary paintings, flower pots, vases and many other products.

With an estimated over 5 crore items procured for making gifts during Diwali, CAIT will use it to carry forward the year-long campaign till August 15, 2023, an initiative of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. It said it would encourage the people of the country to take home or at least gift a souvenir or memento bearing the logo or design of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

CAIT General Secretary Praveen Khandelwal said on 8 September, in a meeting of over 80 prominent leaders from 24 states, the traders' association unanimously agreed to work with and encourage the government to provide souvenirs and memorabilia to the business community of the country. took a pledge. sufficient amount to make the campaign a success

CAIT through its more than 40,000 affiliated associations will connect with craftsmen, potters, start-ups, small industries and others to design and produce a wide variety of products of good quality and affordable prices that can be bought by everyone .

Khandelwal said that since Diwali is the biggest festival of the country, CAIT would urge the business community that while distributing Diwali gifts, they should also gift at least one souvenir of AKM along with Diwali gifts.
